The draw against Al Taawon FC! United FC took one point in very tough game!
On the 6th of November United FC faced Al Taawon FC. The whole team stayed in Ras Al Khaimah before the game, so all the players were fresh and fully prepared for the game. The first half started with the attempts from both teams. United FC’s defence: Dao, Ahmed Sulaiman, Moussa and Ebrahim Hassan played safely. So Al Taawon FC couldn’t score any. By the middle of the first half United FC started creating chances in the opponent’s box. Essa Marwan had a great chance but Al Taawon’s goalkeeper made a save. However on the 29th minute of the game Pape took the ball on the right wing and went closer to the penalty box, made the perfect shot and opened the score. Til the end of the first half United FC tried to double the score, but the luck wasn’t on our team’s side. Our players went to the locker room with one goal advantage.
The second half started with the attempts of United FC to score the quick goal. However our forwards weren’t lucky enough to do that. So Al Taawon started to press and create chances in our penalty box. But our goalkeeper Abdulla showed the top performance. He played on the level of the MVP of the game. Unfortunately, on the 74th minute of the game referee pointed to the penalty spot in our team’s box. So Al Taawon FC evened the score. United FC fought till the very end and tried to score. In conclusion, the match finished with the draw – 1-1.
It was a tough away game, but United FC took one really important point. Our team keeps on working hard. On the 17th of November United FC is facing Al Orooba FC, which is on the first place in First Division League. Our players will show their best to get three points in this game. Let’s go United FC!
