A Very Unlucky Game for United FC! The Team Starts the New Year with a Disappointing Result!

On the 7th of January United FC faced Al Arabi FC in their first game of the year. The game started with very intensive type of play. Both teams played with pace and high intensity and started creating chances. Abdulla made several saves, whilst Chelo, Pape and Ahmed Malalla also had some chances but none were able to score successfully . United FC kept pressing Until the end of the first half. However in the 42nd minute of the game there was the corner kick to our team’s penalty box, however United FC missed the first goal, resulting in the first half ending with a score of 0-1 to Al Arabi.

The second half started with United FC attempting to even the score. Karamoko tried to make an assist from the left side and Pape made several shots from the right side. In the 46th minute Essa Marwan was substituted with Essa Walid. United FC spent most of the time on the final third of the opponent. However, in the 66th minute Al Arabi were able to score for the second time. After that, luck ran out for United FC. In the 76th minute Essa Walid made a very dangerous tackle near the corner flag, resulting in the referee showing him the red card. There was then a foul inside United FC’s penalty box, but luckily Abdulla didn’t let the ball in. After that Baidy entered the pitch. And in the 90th minute he scored his debut goal in First Division League, ending the game with the score 1-2.

It was a very tough game. United FC fought until the very end, and despite taking a loss, they still put on a good performance. Next weekend our team is going to Dibba Al Hisn. Our players will do their best next Saturday! Come and support us!
