United FC Starts First Division League 2025/2026 with a Strong 2–1 Victory Over Al Dhaid FC

United FC began their First Division League 2025/2026 journey in style, earning a 2–1 away win over Al Dhaid FC on September 20. This result not only gave the club three important points but also showed the exciting attacking football that head coach Andrea Pirlo is bringing to the team.

The opening minutes were competitive, with both sides creating chances and testing each other’s defense. United FC gradually took control of the match, and in the 38th minute, Samu found the breakthrough. After a clever move down the left, Hussain Abbas delivered a perfect assist that Samu converted with precision. The first half closed with United FC leading 1–0.

The second half brought new challenges as Al Dhaid pushed hard for an equalizer. Despite United FC’s disciplined defending and quick counterattacks, the hosts managed to level the score in the 86th minute, setting up a tense finale.

But United FC kept their composure and fought until the end. In stoppage time, the team’s persistence paid off. In the 93rd minute, Haris Seferovic played a brilliant pass to Samu, who calmly scored his second of the match to secure a dramatic and well-deserved 2–1 victory.

This match also marked the official First Division League debut of Gian Marco Ferrari, adding more strength and experience to the defense. Most importantly, it was Andrea Pirlo’s first league match as United FC’s head coach, and he began his league journey in perfect fashion — with three points away from home.
