United FC celebrated an important win, beating Al Dhaid FC 1–0 in the President’s Cup on September 24 at ISD Stadium Pitch. It was another confident performance that keeps United FC’s cup journey alive and highlighted the team’s growing strength under Andrea Pirlo.
The match was intense and competitive from the opening whistle, with United FC controlling possession and creating several dangerous chances. The decisive moment arrived in the 42nd minute, when Gustavo Oliveira showcased his quality and composure, striking a precise finish to score the only goal of the game. His sharp instincts once again made the difference for United FC.
This memorable evening also featured two important debuts.
•Papa Gassama, United FC’s new central defender, impressed fans and teammates with his strength, aerial presence, and calm play at the back.
•Moustapha Name, the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations champion with Senegal’s national team, made his first official appearance for United FC, adding experience and quality to the midfield.
Their presence not only strengthened the squad but also underlined the team’s ambition for the season ahead.
