United FC Draws 3–3 with Al Jazira Al Hamra in a Thrilling Home Battle
On October 18, United FC hosted Al Jazira Al Hamra FC at ISD Stadium Pitch in another action-packed First Division League encounter. The match was full of drama, goals, and emotion — ultimately ending in a 3–3 draw that kept United FC unbeaten under Andrea Pirlo.
The game began in shocking fashion as Al Jazira Al Hamra opened the scoring in just the 2nd minute, taking advantage of a defensive lapse. However, United FC responded quickly and confidently.
In the 9th minute, Cedrick Nana scored the equaliser — his first goal for United FC — after a perfect assist from Brahima Ouattara.
Momentum shifted completely in United’s favour when Samu found the net in the 16th minute, completing a quick comeback to make it 2–1. But the visitors refused to back down and managed to equalize in the 25th minute, bringing the score to 2–2 at halftime.
The second half continued with intensity and fast-paced football from both sides. United FC regained the lead in the 61st minute, when Samu converted a penalty with a beautiful panenka shot, completing his second brace of the season in the First Division League.
Unfortunately, in the 81st minute, Al Jazira Al Hamra once again leveled the score, making it 3–3 — the final result of this thrilling match.
The game also marked the debut of Habib Alfardan, who made a confident first appearance in United FC colours, adding composure and experience to the midfield.
Despite not taking all three points, United FC’s unbeaten streak under Andrea Pirlo continues. The team remains strong and united, with impressive attacking performances and solid teamwork defining this new era.
The journey continues as United FC prepares for the Round of 16 in the President’s Cup. Our next challenge is a big one — Sharjah FC, on October 24 at Sharjah Stadium.
