Just six minutes later, Chelo Torres seized his chance and put United FC ahead, making it 2-1 before halftime. But the first half wasn’t done delivering drama. In the 49th minute, Chelo missed a penalty, only for captain Adrien Silva to step up and score on the rebound, marking his debut goal for United FC. With that, the first half ended 3-1 in favor of United FC.
The second half continued to thrill. United FC maintained their pressure, and the game turned further in their favor in the 60th minute when a Fujairah player was shown a red card. Taking full advantage of the situation, Chelo converted another penalty in the 72nd minute to extend the lead to 4-1.
Fujairah pulled one back just three minutes later, making it 4-2, but Chelo had more magic to deliver. In the 82nd minute, he completed his first hat-trick for United FC, with Quincy Promes providing a perfect assist. The 90th minute saw Fujairah score again, but it wasn’t enough to dampen United FC’s spirits as the match concluded with a thrilling 5-3 victory.
